Barcelona to Host First Game at Upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend

The club confirmed they are set to host at the partially upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday. The club will host the Basque side in the Spanish league over two years following their departure to allow renovations to start.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited but 45,401 spectators can be present as per the current authorization. Once fully finished, it will accommodate over 104,000 attendees, a rise from the old capacity. Officials confirmed finished work included an updated entryway for the team and new dressing rooms.

Stadium Testing

The club conducted an open training session inside the stadium in early November. The club said they are seeking authorization by UEFA to play their next home Champions League game versus the German side in December at the stadium. Their recent games have been held at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
